Bert & Cara, The Wedding
Having never met Bert or Cara before their wedding day, they certainly knew how to make an assistant shooter feel welcome! As I had the task of keeping the boys in check before the Ceremony, I enjoyed some light conversation at Hooters in downtown Dallas and then we were off to get ready for the big day. I could say that Bert's Groomsmen were calm, had no energy, and were bummed out that they were losing Bert to his wife to be Cara; but I'd be lying.
Thanks for a fun and lively wedding gang!
The Lawson & Higginbotham Family
Having shot Mark & Angela's wedding last year, it was fun to catch up and enjoy some family fun on their photoshoot. Miranda and J.C. kept things light and airy with their jokes and laughter (as you can tell from the pic snapped above).
Thank you all for a wonderful family session, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all again!
Michael Vogelgesang
Mike is one of David and I's best buddys. Being the Best Man at our wedding would rank him pretty high on the cool scale. I snapped some fashion-esque pictures of Mike in downtown Dallas (Deep Ellum). Hopefully these will make for some awesome wall hangings in his Parents house this Christmas!

Josh & Caitlin, The Wedding
Fun, love and laughs. That would be the best way to describe the VanDolah's wedding!
Josh and Caitlin, being personal close friends, it was an honour to not only share your day, but also document it for your future days.
They were wed at Receptions on the Main in downtown Irving and had a cosy reception with good friends, good family, and good times.
As Caitlin walked down the aisle, I know I wasn't the only one with tears in my eyes. She looked not only stunning, but fabulous. And Josh, yes, you do scrub up nicely also ;)
Thanks again to David and Mark for being assistant shooters. Couldn't have done it without you!
Although my chosen blog picture may only resemble love, check out there full gallery in my portfolio for the laughs.
Andrea, The Baby (14 weeks)
Andrea is as sweet as she looks! I snapped some shots of her at home with her Mum Janie, and boy did we have some fun!
Andrea, with her sweet smile, wouldn't stop giggling for the entire session. I look forward to making more pictures with Andrea in the near future, as she is most deffinately my cutest model.
Caitlin, The Bride
The lovely Caitlin had her Bridal photo session last Sunday. To say the least, the dress is stunning and with the talented Tisha/TC Makeup, perfecting the package with hair and makeup, she looked a million bucks.
Although it took a while for Caitlin to warm up, I captured some gorgeous images, all of which can be viewed after 09/05/09 in the 'Portfolio' section of the website. I love skimming through images after a photo session; Caitlin's Bridal's were so natural.
A big thank you to my Dad and Mark Laster for assisting me on the shoot. I couldn't have done without you and your silly escapades over my shoulder, helping Caitlin giggle.
08/25/09 | Balboni unveils his new Gallardo at Boardwalk Lamborghini
What better way to start my first blog entry with this honourable photo shoot. David and I were the photographers for a different kind of event Tuesday evening. Lamborghini has just released a special and limited edition of the Gallardo, dubbed the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, after their very own living legend. Just 250 will be produced and all are rear-wheel drive, a first for Lamborghini in nearly a decade. Mr. Balboni travelled to Dallas Texas from Italy to unveil the new 2010 Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboni; and boy, was she a looker.
Valentino Balboni spent four decades as a test driver for Lamborghini. In fact, for several of those years, he was THEE test driver. Not only has Balboni been at the helm of every prototype Lamborghini since 1973, but most of their production cars got a quick spin around the farming streets of Sant'Agata with Valentino at the helm, just to make sure they were up to Lamborghini snuff. Still not clear as to why the man's such a big deal? It's believed that Valentino Balboni has driven 80% of all Lamborghinis ever made, and is the only remaining living person to have known Mr. Lamborghini. FACT.
Balboni, and for the record, I addressed him only as "Mr. Balboni", appeared to be genuinely flattered that Lamborghini decided to build and name a car after him. In fact, he was beaming through the entire event. He explained in his short speech that while working for Lamborghini he was too close to the job, the day-to-day grind, to really appreciate how special his position was. But now that he's retired, the specialness, the unbelievable luckiness of his previous position, has become crystal clear.
Balboni signed autographs and did a meet and greet after unveiling the de-robed orange monster. I was unbelievably amazed at the man's patience, kindness, modesty, and aura.
I think that Valentino, I mean Mr. Balboni, is the kind of person one will never forget meeting. I have my signed Revento in the living room, ready to be encased and preserved forever.
After skimming through the events photos, I came to the conclusion that Balboni while being in the majority of every picture, was genuinely smiling with pride and pleasure in EVERY single image. Like I said, the man was beaming through the entire event, and from the looks of it, the beams were mutually returned.
